Back in 2021, a passenger on an American Airlines flight caused a disturbance that quickly spiraled out of control.
According to reports, her behavior became increasingly aggressive:
- verbally attacking flight attendants
- kicking and biting crew members
- and even spitting at staff
Then the situation escalated even further.
At one point, she allegedly attempted to open the aircraft door while the plane was still in the air.
That’s when the crew had to make a decision.
They restrained her.
Using duct tape, she was secured to her seat for the remainder of the flight a move aimed at protecting both passengers and staff.
Even after being restrained…
she continued acting aggressively.
By the time the plane landed, authorities had to step in, and she was reportedly sedated to be safely removed from the aircraft.
