The Viral Zone requires new users to sign in via Facebook, Google+ or with an email address, unique username and password. Only the username can be publicly viewed by others on The Viral Zone online output view when published to HTML. We may email our users from time to time depending on the usage patterns and to send you updates about the site. We do not sell our user database to any 3rd party organisations.

The Viral Zone may collect user information related to pageviews, hours spent on Piktochart, traffic source, browser type, location, and IP address, as well as features used on The Viral Zone site. This is in order to analyse user behaviour so we can make a better site. We may also receive certain information provided by your browser or mobile device, including:

Mobile device information (e.g., device identifier, mobile
operating system, etc.)

Time of last visit
Referring site, application, or service, including the relevant search queries that led you to our website

The purpose of tracking the activity information is to help us create a better product experience:
to assess usage patterns (number of visuals created, number of clicks within the application, number of sessions logged) and perform usage analysis and set benchmarks for future product usage and improvements
identify user preferences to type of content created as well as help us identify relevant tutorials or blog articles to write about
conduct A/B testing to find messages that resonate with our users
diagnose problems with our servers
User activity on The Viral Zone is tracked using cookies – small pieces of data stored for extended period of time on your computer. These cookies help Piktochart provide our users with a better user experience. They are also used for collecting analytics information and save your preferences.
How information is transmitted and stored
All user information is transmitted in encrypted form via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and stored in off-site secured servers. The Viral Zone uses One.com amd Google Cloud Platform which are reputable and secure server hosts.
At The Viral Zone, we follow best practices to retain and delete data on our servers. The Viral Zone’s database is only accessed by those authorized with special access and are required to keep the information confidential. No one else has access to this data – they are given only when requested by users for troubleshooting.
The Viral Zone and Children Under 13
As a family friendly site, The Viral Zone has a zero tolerance to obscenity and nudity featured in any created visuals hosted on The Viral Zone. We believe it is the responsibility of schools, libraries and parents to limit the time spent on the internet by children in their care.
In efforts to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), The Viral Zone’s products and services are directed only to people who are at least 13 years of age or older. Schools who require the use of Piktochart in the classroom for children under the age of 13 are required to get parental permission before doing so.
